The crowd at Saturday's league bout between the Toms River East Raiders (Toms River, NJ) and the visiting Toms River North Mariners (Toms River, NJ), observed Toms River East's softball team get by Toms River North by a final score of 9-3.

The Raiders (1-4) will now prepare for their bout against Central Regional (Bayville, NJ). The Golden Eagles go into the Shore - A South bout with a 3-2 record. In their last bout, Central Regional was routed by Pinelands Regional (Tuckerton, NJ), 16-1, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Mariners battle the Manasquan Warriors (Manasquan, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Monday, April 7. Toms River North will attempt to better on its 1-5 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 5-2 non-league loss to Pinelands Regional (Tuckerton, NJ).
