Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC), 31-0 in a league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 7-0 record. They take the field next when they host South Brunswick for a Mideastern 3A/4A challenge on Thursday, April 8. Hoggard will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 5-2 league loss to West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 1-6.

With the loss, New Hanover falls to 0-7 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to North Brunswick (Leland, NC) to battle the Scorpions in a Mideastern 3A/4A challenge on Thursday, April 8. The Scorpions enter the challenge with a record of 2-5. North Brunswick lost 8-0 in their recent league challenge against Topsail (Hampstead, NC)
