Atkins Camels (Winston-Salem, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Dudley Panthers (Greensboro, NC), 8-6 in a league test.
With the win, Atkins upgrades its record to 11-3 on the season. The Camels travel to Northeast Guilford (McLeansville, NC) to battle the Rams in a Mid-State 3A test on Friday, April 8. The Rams go into the game with a record of 4-11. Northeast Guilford lost 17-2 in their recent non-league game against Williams (Burlington, NC)
The Panthers (8-2) will now prepare for their game against Rockingham County (Wentworth, NC). The Cougars go into the Mid-State 3A game with a 8-5 record. In their last game, Rockingham County tipped Reidsville (Reidsville, NC), 10-5, in a non-league game.
