The Virginia City Muckers baseball team scored 11 runs and limited the host Portola Tigers to 5 in the Muckers non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Muckers (13-1) will now prepare for their match against Sierra Lutheran (Carson City, NV). The Falcons go into the 1A Northern match with a 4-3 record. In their last match, Sierra Lutheran edged Excel Christian (Sparks, NV), 16-0, in a league match.
The Tigers (10-6) will now prepare for their match against Williams (Williams, CA). The Yellowjackets go into the Mid-Valley match with a 0-10 record. In their last match, Williams was overwhelmed by Quincy (Quincy, CA), 14-0, in a league match.
