Brighton Bruins (Rochester, NY) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad edge the visiting Penfield Patriots (Penfield, NY), 9-8 in a league test.

The Bruins now have a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fairport for a non-league test on Friday, April 8.

In their next game, the Patriots face the Spencerport Rangers (Spencerport, NY) in a Section 5 Monroe County III test, on Friday, April 8. Penfield will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record.
