Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA) supporters were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team overwhelm the host Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA), 14-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Highlanders confront the Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) in a Three Rivers challenge, on Tuesday, April 12. Glenvar will attempt to move on its 4-1 season record. The Cavaliers enter the challenge with a 6-0 record after their 8-0 non-league win over Galax (Galax, VA).
The Maroon Tide now possess a 0-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Giles for a Mountain Empire challenge on Monday, April 11. Galax will confront a Spartans team coming off a 5-1 league loss to Auburn (Riner, VA). The Spartans record now stands at 1-3.
