Washington & Lee Eagles (Montross, VA) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Northumberland Indians (Heathsville, VA), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Eagles confront the Lancaster Red Devils (Lancaster, VA) in a Northern Neck challenge, on Friday, April 22. Washington & Lee will attempt to better on its 1-4 season record.

The Indians now have a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they host Northampton for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 8. Northumberland will confront a Yellowjackets team coming off a 8-0 non-league loss to Granby (Norfolk, VA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 5-2.
