Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA), 7-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Highlanders confront the Heritage Pioneers (Lynchburg, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, April 8. Glenvar will attempt to better on its 5-0 season record. The Pioneers enter the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 9-1 league loss to Liberty Christian (Lynchburg, VA).
The Maroon Tide now have a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fort Chiswell for a Mountain Empire challenge on Thursday, April 7. Galax will confront a Pioneers team coming off a 3-0 league win over Grayson County (Independence, VA). The Pioneers record now stands at 4-2.
