The Newman Central Catholic Comets softball team (Sterling, IL), was routed 4-1 in Wednesday's league test with the visiting Bureau Valley Storm (Manlius, IL)

Coming up next, the Storm encounter the Mendota Trojans (Mendota, IL) in a test, on Friday, April 8. Bureau Valley will attempt to improve on its 5-3 season record. The Trojans enter the test with a 3-2 record after their 4-0 league loss to St. Bede (Peru, IL).

The Comets (5-2) will now prepare for their test against Rockridge (Taylor Ridge, IL). The Rockets enter the non-league test with a 5-0 record. In their last test, Rockridge tipped Sherrard (Sherrard, IL), 11-10, in a league test.
