Canton Golden Bears (Canton, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting St. Lawrence Central Larries (Brasher Falls, NY), 5-0 in a league challenge.

The Golden Bears now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Hammond Central for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 29.

With the loss, St. Lawrence Central falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Larries travel to Salmon River (Fort Covington, NY) to face the Shamrocks in a Section 10 Central challenge on Monday, April 11. The Shamrocks go into the battle with a record of 0-0.
