Hughes Springs Mustangs (Hughes Springs, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host New Diana Eagles (Diana, TX), 15-0 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 19-2 record. They take the field next when they host White Oak for a 3A Region II District 15 challenge on Tuesday, April 12. Hughes Springs will battle a Roughnecks squad coming off a 10-0 league win over New Diana (Diana, TX). The Roughnecks record now stands at 18-7.

With the loss, New Diana falls to 6-15 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to White Oak (White Oak, TX) to battle the Roughnecks in a 3A Region II District 15 challenge on Friday, April 8. The Roughnecks enter the challenge with a record of 17-7. White Oak won 14-0 in their recent league challenge against Daingerfield (Daingerfield, TX)
