North Carolina High School Softball - Southampton Academy bounces Ridgecroft

April 6, 2022: Ahoskie, NC 27910

Southampton Academy Raiders (Courtland, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Ridgecroft Rams (Ahoskie, NC), 14-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Raiders now own a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Portsmouth Christian for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 7. Southampton Academy will battle a Patriots squad coming off a 20-2 non-league win over Cape Henry Collegiate (Virginia Beach, VA). The Patriots record now stands at 4-1.

With the loss, Ridgecroft falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Pungo Christian Academy (Belhaven, NC) to battle the Raiders in a NCISAA Tarheel challenge on Monday, April 11. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 10-0. Pungo Christian Academy won 2-0 in their recent league challenge against Albemarle School (Elizabeth City, NC)
