In Thursday's league game, the host Horizon Scorpions baseball team scored a tight 7-2 victory over the Bel Air Highlanders.
The Scorpions (8-10) will now prepare for their game against Parkland (El Paso, TX). The Matadors go into the 5A Region I District 2 game with a 4-9 record. In their last game, Parkland was overwhelmed by Hanks (El Paso, TX), 10-0, in a league game.
The Highlanders (6-14) will now prepare for their game against Del Valle (El Paso, TX). The Conquistadores go into the 5A Region I District 2 game with a 15-6 record. In their last game, Del Valle tipped Ysleta (El Paso, TX), 11-7, in a league game.
