The Cook Hornets baseball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Berrien Rebels to 1 in the Hornets league victory on Thursday.
The Hornets (14-9) will now prepare for their match against Fitzgerald (Fitzgerald, GA). The Purple Hurricane go into the 2A Area 1 match with a 12-11 record. In their last match, Fitzgerald was overwhelmed by Jeff Davis (Hazlehurst, GA), 6-4, in a league match.
The Rebels (8-16) will now prepare for their match against Sumter County (Americus, GA). The Panthers go into the 2A Area 1 match with a 3-14 record. In their last match, Sumter County was overwhelmed by Worth County (Sylvester, GA), 15-1, in a league match.
