North Carolina High School Baseball - Mitchell loses to Draughn

April 6, 2023: Valdese, NC 28690

The Draughn Wildcats crushed the visiting Mitchell Mountaineers baseball team by a count of 7-0 in Thursday's league bout.

The Wildcats now possess a 11-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Burke for a non-league bout on Monday, April 10. Draughn will face a Cavaliers team coming off a 6-3 league win over Newton-Conover (Newton, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 6-6.

Next, the Mountaineers face the Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, April 8. Mitchell will attempt to move on its 1-11 season record. The Maroon Devils enter the bout with a 5-7 record after their 19-2 league win over Cherokee (Cherokee, NC).
