The Summers County Bobcats got by the visiting WestSide Renegades baseball team by a count of 5-4 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Bobcats now possess a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to James Monroe for a Coalfield A bout on Friday, April 7. Summers County will face a Mavericks team coming off a 11-1 non-league win over Pocahontas County (Dunmore, WV). The Mavericks record now stands at 5-2.
Next, the Renegades face the Bluefield Beavers (Bluefield, WV) in a Coalfield AA bout, on Monday, April 10. WestSide will attempt to move on its 4-6 season record. The Beavers enter the bout with a 5-6 record after their 11-0 league loss to Shady Spring (Shady Spring, WV).
