In Thursday's league battle, the visiting Steamboat Springs Sailors soccer squad scored a close 2-1 win over the Glenwood Springs Demons.

The Sailors (4-4) will now prepare for their battle against Battle Mountain (Edwards, CO). The Huskies go into the 4A Western Slope battle with a 7-1 record. In their last battle, Battle Mountain nipped Atlas Preparatory School (Colorado Springs, CO), 10-0, in a non-league battle.

The Demons (0-3) will now prepare for their battle against Palisade (Palisade, CO). The Bulldogs go into the 4A Western Slope battle with a 5-2 record. In their last battle, Palisade nipped Eagle Valley (Gypsum, CO), 3-2, in a league battle.
