The Amboy Clippers softball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Ashton-Franklin Center Raiders to 0 in the Clippers league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Amboy improves its record to 2-2 on the year. The Clippers host Indian Creek (Shabbona, IL) to clash with the Timberwolves in a non-league game on Saturday, April 8. The Timberwolves come into the game with a record of 1-3. Indian Creek lost 4-1 in their recent league game against Somonauk (Somonauk, IL)

In their next game, the Raiders clash with the South Beloit Sobos (South Beloit, IL) in a non-league game, on Monday, April 10. Ashton-Franklin Center will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Sobos come into the game with a 2-3 record after their 10-5 non-league loss to Rockford Auburn (Rockford, IL).
