Auburndale Bloodhounds (Auburndale, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host South Lake Eagles (Groveland, FL), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Bloodhounds now own a 14-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Winter Haven for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 7. Auburndale will face a Blue Devils squad coming off a 10-3 non-league loss to Lake Wales (Lake Wales, FL). The Blue Devils record now stands at 6-12.

With the loss, South Lake falls to 5-12 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Lake Minneola (Minneola, FL) to face the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 7. The Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 7-8. Lake Minneola won 10-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Ridge Community (Davenport, FL)
