Desert View Jaguars (Tucson, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Buena Colts (Sierra Vista, AZ), 14-7 in a league challenge.

The Jaguars now own a 3-11 record. They take the field next when they host Nogales for a 5A Sonoran challenge on Tuesday, April 11. Desert View will face a Apaches squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Cienega (Vail, AZ). The Apaches record now stands at 0-16.

With the loss, Buena falls to 6-11 on the campaign. The Colts host Higley (Gilbert, AZ) to face the Knights in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 7. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 17-7. Higley won 10-7 in their recent league challenge against Casteel (Queen Creek, AZ)
