Spectators at Thursday's league match between the Mercedes Tigers (Mercedes, TX) and the visiting Donna Redskins (Donna, TX), witnessed Mercedes's softball squad prevail over Donna by a count of 15-1.

The Tigers now sport a 21-5 record. They play next when they travel to Weslaco East for a 5A Region IV District 32 match on Tuesday, April 11. Mercedes will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-2 league win over Veterans Memorial (Brownsville, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 16-7.

With the loss, Donna moves to 0-16 on the season. The Redskins host Harlingen South (Harlingen, TX) to face the Hawks in a 5A Region IV District 32 match on Tuesday, April 18. The Hawks go into the match with a record of 19-7.
