Illinois High School Softball - Forreston bounces Polo

The Forreston Cardinals routed the host Polo Marcos softball squad by a final score of 13-2 in Thursday's league battle.

The Cardinals (7-1) will now prepare for their battle against Winnebago (Winnebago, IL). The Indians go into the non-league battle with a 4-0 record. In their last battle, Winnebago topped Genoa-Kingston (Genoa, IL), 5-4, in a league battle.

The Marcos now possess a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Bureau Valley for a non-league battle on Saturday, April 8. Polo will meet a Storm squad coming off a 7-0 league win over Newman Central Catholic (Sterling, IL). The Storm record now stands at 6-2.
