Robinson Rockets (Robinson, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host La Vega Pirates (Waco, TX), 12-1 in a league challenge.

The Rockets now own a 22-7 record. They take the field next when they host Salado for a 4A Region III District 23 challenge on Tuesday, April 11. Robinson will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 7-6 league win over Connally (Waco, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 19-10.

With the loss, La Vega falls to 9-14 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to China Spring (China Spring, TX) to battle the Cougars in a 4A Region III District 23 challenge on Tuesday, April 11. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 10-20. China Spring won 8-7 in their recent league challenge against Gatesville (Gatesville, TX)
