Moline Maroons (Moline, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Quincy Blue Devils (Quincy, IL), 12-8 in a league challenge.

The Maroons now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Geneseo for a Western Big 6 challenge on Tuesday, April 11. Moline will battle a Maple Leafs squad coming off a 5-4 non-league loss to Newark (Newark, IL). The Maple Leafs record now stands at 9-2.

With the loss, Quincy falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Blue devils travel to Nokomis (Nokomis, IL) to battle the Redskins in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 8. The Redskins enter the challenge with a record of 1-3. Nokomis lost 10-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Greenville (Greenville, IL)
