The New London Whalers softball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Putnam Clippers to 3 in the Whalers non-league triumph on Thursday.

In their next game, the Clippers clash with the Windham Whippets (Willimantic, CT) in a non-league game, on Saturday, April 8. Putnam will attempt to move on its 0-3 season record. The Whippets come into the game with a 2-0 record after their 10-5 league win over Tourtellotte (North Grosvenordale, CT).
