Rhinelander Hodags (Rhinelander, WI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Northland Pines Eagles (Eagle River, WI), 9-4 in a league challenge.

The Hodags now own a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they host Weyauwega-Fremont for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 7. Rhinelander will battle a Warhawks squad coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Manawa (Manawa, WI). The Warhawks record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Northland Pines falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Mosinee (Mosinee, WI) to battle the Indians in a Great Northern challenge on Tuesday, April 11. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
