Warren Township Blue Devils (Gurnee, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Stevenson Patriots (Lincolnshire, IL), 6-1 in a league challenge.

The Blue Devils now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Lake Zurich for a North Suburban challenge on Tuesday, April 11. Warren Township will battle a Bears squad coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to Buffalo Grove (Buffalo Grove, IL). The Bears record now stands at 1-7.

With the loss, Stevenson falls to 3-1 on the campaign. The Patriots host Lockport (Lockport, IL) to battle the Porters in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 8. The Porters enter the challenge with a record of 5-3. Lockport lost 4-3 in their recent league challenge against Lincoln-Way Central (New Lenox, IL)
