The Newton Local Indians baseball team scored 10 runs and limited the visiting Botkins Trojans to 1 in the Indians non-league victory on Saturday.
The Indians (3-0) will now prepare for their match against Bradford (Bradford, OH). The Railroaders go into the Western Ohio Athletic match with a 2-3 record.
The Trojans (0-5) will now prepare for their match against Houston (Houston, OH). The Wildcats go into the Shelby County match with a 0-3 record. In their last match, Houston was overwhelmed by Ansonia (Ansonia, OH), 16-1, in a non-league match.
