The Pontotoc Warriors baseball team scored 6 runs and limited the visiting Mooreville Troopers to 3 in the Warriors non-league victory on Saturday.
The Warriors (11-12) will now prepare for their match against Corinth (Corinth, MS). The Warriors go into the 5A Region 1 match with a 11-8 record. In their last match, Corinth edged Clarksdale (Clarksdale, MS), 11-0, in a league match.
The Troopers (17-5) will now prepare for their match against East Webster (Maben, MS). The Wolverines go into the 3A Region 4 match with a 20-3 record. In their last match, East Webster edged Neshoba Central (Philadelphia, MS), 4-3, in a non-league match.
