With the win, Newman upgrades its record to 13-10 on the season. The Greenies travel to Metairie Park Country Day (Metairie, LA) to battle the Cajuns in a 2A District 10 test on Tuesday, April 9. The Cajuns come into the test with a record of 8-12. Metairie Park Country Day won 6-5 in their recent non-league test against Episcopal (Baton Rouge, LA)

With the defeat, St. Martin's Episcopal falls to 7-11 on the season. The Saints host West St. John (Edgard, LA) to battle the Rams in a 1A District 10 test on Wednesday, April 10. The Rams come into the test with a record of 4-9.
