The Belleville West Maroons softball team scored 10 runs and limited the visiting Highland Bulldogs to 0 in the Maroons non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Belleville West improves its record to 3-10 on the year. The Maroons travel to East St. Louis (East St. Louis, IL) to clash with the Flyers in a Southwestern game on Tuesday, April 9. The Flyers come into the game with a record of 0-0.

In their next game, the Bulldogs clash with the Mascoutah Indians (Mascoutah, IL) in a Mississippi Valley game, on Monday, April 8. Highland will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Indians come into the game with a 3-7 record after their 8-2 non-league loss to Trico (Campbell Hill, IL).
