The North Boone Vikings softball team scored 22 runs and limited the host Belvidere Bucs to 1 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, North Boone moves its record to 6-2 on the year. The Vikings travel to Winnebago (Winnebago, IL) to clash with the Indians in a Big Northern game on Monday, April 8. The Indians come into the game with a record of 2-1. Winnebago won 15-1 in their recent non-league game against Forreston (Forreston, IL)

In their next game, the Bucs clash with the Hononegah Indians (Rockton, IL) in a Northern Illinois NIC-9 test, on Monday, April 8. Belvidere will attempt to improve on its 0-9 season record. The Indians enter the test with a 2-1 record after their 8-5 non-league win over Rock Island (Rock Island, IL).
