The Vernon Hills Cougars routed the host Glenbrook North Spartans softball squad by a final score of 12-2 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Cougars (3-5) will now prepare for their battle against Niles North (Skokie, IL). The Vikings go into the Central Suburban - North battle with a 4-3 record. In their last battle, Niles North was routed by Elmwood Park (Elmwood Park, IL), 15-11, in a non-league battle.

The Spartans now possess a 3-6 record. They play next when they host Evanston for a Central Suburban - South battle on Tuesday, April 9. Glenbrook North will meet a Wildkits squad coming off a 11-8 non-league loss to Saint Viator (Arlington Heights, IL). The Wildkits record now stands at 2-6.
