In Saturday's non-league contest, the Montclair Mounties (Montclair, NJ) softball team the host Hackensack Comets (Hackensack, NJ), by a margin of 8-6.

With the triumph, Montclair moves its record to 1-2 on the year. The Mounties travel to Cedar Grove (Cedar Grove, NJ) to play the Panthers in a SEC - American contest on Wednesday, April 10. The Panthers come into the contest with a record of 3-1. Cedar Grove lost 6-1 in their recent league contest against Livingston (Livingston, NJ)

In their next game, the Comets play the Paramus Spartans (Paramus, NJ) in a Big North - Freedom contest, on Monday, April 8. Hackensack will attempt to move on its 0-5 season record.
