Hart Pirates (Hart, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Mason County Eastern Cardinals (Custer, MI), 17-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Whitehall for a Western Michigan challenge on Tuesday, April 9.

With the loss, Mason County Eastern falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Bear Lake (Bear Lake, MI) to battle the Lakers in a West Michigan D challenge on Monday, April 8. The Lakers enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
