Watchung Hills Regional Warriors (Warren, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Hunterdon Central Red Devils (Flemington, NJ), 8-7 in a league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Steinert for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 6. Watchung Hills Regional will face a Spartans squad coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Hopewell Valley Central (Pennington, NJ). The Spartans record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Hunterdon Central falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Red devils host Allentown (Allentown, NJ) to face the Redbirds in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 6. The Redbirds enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
