Winston County Yellowjackets (Double Springs, AL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Meek Tigers (Arley, AL), 11-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 18-5 record. They take the field next when they host Lynn for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 6. Winston County will face a Bears squad coming off a 18-2 non-league win over Addison (Addison, AL). The Bears record now stands at 12-6.

With the loss, Meek falls to 14-9 on the campaign. The Tigers host Athens Bible (Athens, AL) to clash with the Trojans in a 1A Area 14 game on Monday, April 8. The Trojans come into the game with a record of 8-6. Athens Bible lost 12-2 in their recent non-league game against Colbert County (Leighton, AL)
