In Saturday's non-league contest, the New Castle Trojans (New Castle, IN) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Muncie Central Bearcats (Muncie, IN), by a margin of 25-1.
With the triumph, New Castle moves its record to 1-2 on the year. The Trojans host Shelbyville (Shelbyville, IN) to play the Golden Bears in a Hoosier Heritage contest on Tuesday, April 9. The Golden Bears come into the contest with a record of 2-4. Shelbyville lost 4-0 in their recent non-league contest against Tecumseh (Lynnville, IN)
In their next game, the Bearcats play the Indianapolis Arsenal Technical Titans (Indianapolis, IN) in a North Central contest, on Tuesday, April 9. Muncie Central will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record.
