Olentangy Orange Pioneers (Lewis Center, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Olentangy Berlin Bears (Delaware, OH), 5-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Pioneers now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Olentangy for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 6.

With the loss, Olentangy Berlin falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Lincoln (Gahanna, OH) to battle the Golden Lions in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 9. The Golden Lions enter the challenge with a record of 5-3. Lincoln lost 7-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Marysville (Marysville, OH)
