Warren Central Vikings (Vicksburg, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Richland Rangers (Richland, MS), 16-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 15-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wesson for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 9. Warren Central will face a Cobras squad coming off a 0-0 non-league Loyd Star (Brookhaven, MS). The Cobras record now stands at 15-2.

With the loss, Richland falls to 8-11 on the campaign. The Rangers host McLaurin (Florence, MS) to face the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 8. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 7-6. McLaurin won 12-0 in their recent league challenge against Kemper County (DeKalb, MS)
