The Benton Tigers baseball team scored 5 runs and limited the visiting Byrd Yellow Jackets to 2 in the Tigers league victory on Thursday.

The Tigers (14-9) will now prepare for their match against Captain Shreve (Shreveport, LA). The Gators go into the 5A District 1 match with a 6-6 record.

The Yellow Jackets (4-8) will now prepare for their match against Natchitoches Central (Natchitoches, LA). The Chiefs come into the 5A District 1 challenge with a 9-8 record. In their last challenge, Natchitoches Central by Airline (Bossier City, LA), 9-3, in a league challenge.
