The Cartersville Hurricanes baseball team scored 6 runs and limited the host Calhoun Yellow Jackets to 2 in the Hurricanes league victory on Thursday.
The Hurricanes (15-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Sandy Creek (Tyrone, GA). The Patriots come into the non-league challenge with a 13-6 record. In their last challenge, Sandy Creek got by Cass (White, GA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.
With the defeat, Calhoun falls to 15-7 on the season. The Yellow jackets travel to Pike County (Zebulon, GA) to encounter the Pirates in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 8. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 21-2.
