In Thursday's league challenge, the Zuni Thunderbirds (Zuni, NM) baseball squad edged the visiting Wingate Bears (Fort Wingate, NM), by a final score of 16-15.

The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 11-3. Laguna Acoma won 11-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Tohatchi (Tohatchi, NM)
With the defeat, Wingate falls to 1-8 on the season. The Bears host Navajo Prep (Farmington, NM) to battle the Eagles in a 3A District 1 challenge on Thursday, April 14. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 3-13.
