Texico Wolverines (Texico, NM) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Clovis Wildcats (Clovis, NM), 11-10 in a non-league test.
With the win, Texico upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season.
With the defeat, Clovis falls to 5-13 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Roswell (Roswell, NM) to battle the Coyotes in a test on Monday, April 11. The Coyotes come into the test with a record of 12-5. Roswell won 15-0 in their recent non-league test against Portales (Portales, NM)
