Carolina Forest Panthers (Myrtle Beach, SC) fans were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team prevail over the visiting Sumter Fighting Gamecocks (Sumter, SC), 4-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Panthers confront the St. James Sharks (Murrells Inlet, SC) in a AAAAA Region 6 challenge, on Tuesday, April 19. Carolina Forest will attempt to better on its 6-6 season record. The Sharks enter the challenge with a 12-2 record after their 5-1 non-league win over Myrtle Beach (Myrtle Beach, SC).
The Fighting Gamecocks now have a 7-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Andrew Jackson for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 11. Sumter will confront a Volunteers team coming off a 2-2 league York Prep (Rock Hill, SC). The Volunteers record now stands at 8-3.
