The Buccaneers now sport a 8-1 record. They play next when they host North Brunswick for a Mideastern 3A/4A test on Tuesday, April 12. Laney will encounter a Scorpions squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to South Brunswick (Southport, NC). The Scorpions record now stands at 1-9.

With the loss, New Hanover drops to 0-3 on the season. The Wildcats host West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC) to encounter the Trojans in a Mideastern 3A/4A test on Monday, April 11. The Trojans come into the test with a record of 4-6. West Brunswick lost 9-0 in their recent league test against Topsail (Hampstead, NC)
