St. John's Pioneers (Shrewsbury, MA) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad top the host Malden Catholic Lancers (Malden, MA), 14-5 in a non-league test.

The Pioneers now have a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Framingham for a Bay State test on Saturday, April 9. St. John's will face a Flyers squad coming off a 10-8 league loss to Newton North (Newtonville, MA). The Flyers record now stands at 1-1.

In their next game, the Lancers face the Catholic Memorial Knights (West Roxbury, MA) in a Catholic test, on Tuesday, April 12. Malden Catholic will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record. The Knights go into the match with a 0-3 record after their 15-7 league loss to Boston College High (Boston, MA).
