The Boaz Pirates routed the host Crossville Lions softball squad by a tally of 22-2 in Thursday's league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 13-7 record. They take the field next when they host Douglas for a 5A Area 13 challenge on Friday, April 8. Boaz will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 17-2 non-league win over Brindlee Mountain (Guntersville, AL). The Eagles record now stands at 19-5.

With the loss, Crossville falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Lions host Valley Head (Valley Head, AL) to battle the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 11. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 2-7. Valley Head lost 15-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Asbury (Albertville, AL)
