Sedan Devils (Sedan, KS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Cedar Vale/Dexter Spartans (Cedar Vale, KS), 20-19 in a non-league challenge.

The Devils now own a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Flinthills for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 11. Sedan will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 17-0 league win over Udall (Udall, KS). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Cedar Vale/Dexter falls to 4-3 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to West Elk (Howard, KS) to battle the Patriots in a South Central Border challenge on Monday, April 11. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 3-1. West Elk lost 7-5 in their recent league challenge against Oxford (Oxford, KS)
