East Webster Wolverines (Maben, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Eupora Eagles (Eupora, MS), 8-2 in a league challenge.

The Wolverines now own a 16-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Choctaw County for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 8. East Webster will face a Chargers squad coming off a 8-3 non-league loss to Ethel (Ethel, MS). The Chargers record now stands at 1-1.

In their next game, the Eagles clash with the Calhoun City Wildcats (Calhoun City, MS) in a 2A Region 2 game, on Tuesday, April 12. Eupora will attempt to improve on its 4-9 season record. The Wildcats come into the game with a 11-5 record after their 12-8 league win over Bruce (Bruce, MS).
